Is an Inguinal Hernia Dangerous in Adults?

1 min read
Inguinal hernias just get bigger and do not get smaller; they can cause pain.
If the intestine is strangled (that is, a strangulated hernia) in the hernia pouch, severe pain is common and an emergency surgery is usually required.
Since Inguinal hernias can be life-threatening, it is almost always suggested that these hernias be surgically repaired before it becomes an emergency.
